God is light: Jesus described Himself as 'the light of the world', but He told His disciples that they are the light of the world! Does that statement make them like God? No.

Was Jesus against the Jewish religion? Many people thought He was because He overruled many little regulations which God had never intended.

Nothing that God says is ever wrong. There is a purpose behind every word, and the words stand until they have done their job.

Murder is bad. Almost everybody agrees. But however the killing might take place, it starts with wrong attitudes in the heart.

Unsettled relationships can get in the way of worship. Can we say that we love the Lord our God with all our heart and soul and strength, and yet not love our neighbour as ourselves?

Adultery is wrong, as wrong as greed, hatred and breaking promises. But it has an even greater relationship-breaking effect.

There are no winners in divorce. Marriage breakdown is always a painful business, often after a long process of eroded trust and the suspicion of infidelity.

If there were no lies, there would be no need for oaths. But there are many lies, so how can we tell who is telling the truth?

Justice is good but revenge is bad.

Enemies are hostile; they seek to take what does not belong to them, attacking people and property to gain power over them. Naturally, we hate our enemies and want bad things to happen to them.
